An Iraqi Bishop Challenges YOU…

71

Bishop Saad Sirop Hanna, auxiliary bishop of Baghdad, took to Facebook yesterday to offer you a challenge…one that doesn’t require dousing yourself in ice-water!

Here’s the challenge: Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 26, at 6 pm Baghdad time (that’s 11 AM EDT, 8 AM PDT) join him in spending 30 minutes in prayer and in silence before the Blessed Sacrament. Then, if you wish, send him a photo (his Facebook page is public) and a message of solidarity so he can share them with our fellow Catholics in Iraq.

“We will all be united in prayer for peace in Iraq and for the refugees here in the north of Iraq. They are living in very bad conditions. They need our support. They need our prayer.” Check out the Bishop’s video, below.
