Pope Benedict did the fine job, the best he could, remember no one is perfect. He had the humility to step down from the position when he could no longer keep up with it. That took great courage.

Pope Benedict did a wonderful job for the Catholic faith. He met with many of the sexual abuse victims in different areas. I wish him a contented life. I cannot imagine the stress, both mentally & physically of being in His position. Younger people would have not done so well as he did at age 85. Thank you Pope Benedict!

Yes, the Chair of Peter is now vacant and it was hard for me to see him go to Castel Gandolfo. Although the Emeritus Pope has not died, I felt like one who was witnessing his passing this morning. I felt profound sadness.
As for the book, is CV talking about the Infancy Narratives or is there a book the Pope Emeritus wrote I was not aware of?
