The CatholicVote.org Candidate Fund announces the following endorsements for the U.S. House.
Keith Rothfus did much better than expected in his 2010 race against Rep. Jason Altmire, D-PA, but fell short of winning. Since that time, Altmire has gone out of his way to trumpet his support for taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood. But Altmire lost in a primary to another Democrat, Rep. Mark Critz. Critz has been a strong supporter of Obamacare, casting several votes against repealing or defunding Obamacare. A cancer survivor, Keith Rofthus realizes the danger of government-run healthcare and is dedicated to repealing Obamacare. It’s time to send Critz into retirement and elect Keith Rothfus to Congress to represent the people of Pennsylvania’s 12th District. Read more about Keith Rothfus in our Endorsements section.
Leah Campos Schandlbauer is hoping to join her brother-in-law Sean Duffy as a Member of Congress. Running in the new 9th District of Arizona, Leah brings her experience as a national security officer, having worked ten years for the CIA. But she’s also running on a strong pro-life, pro-family background — winning the endorsement of Arizona Right to Life. And her Hispanic heritage is likely to help her in this District, which is 20% Latino. If Leah wins the August 28 primary she could face Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, an Emily’s List candidate who is openly bisexual. That’s why it’s important that we have a strong pro-life voice like Leah in Congress. Read more about Leah Campos Schandlbauer in our Endorsements section.
Ron DeSantis has a sterling resume. He graduated with honors from Yale University, then went to Harvard Law, where he also graduated with honors. He then enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a JAG prosecutor. While serving in Iraq, he was awarded a Bronze Star Medal. Now Ron wants to continue his public service by serving in Congress. He wrote a book, responding to the failed policies of Barack Obama. He called it Dreams From our Founding Fathers: First Principles in the Age of Obama. We encourage Floridians from the 6th District to vote for Ron DeSantis in the August 14 primary.
