Update: Video of Mock “Popemobile” at Episcopalian Halloween service *removed*

UPDATE: Wow! That didn’t take long. This YouTube video which shows the female pastor mocking the papal popemobile, has already been taken down by the user:

I guess someone at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Francisco didn’t want proof of this anti-Catholic stunt going viral on the internet.

ORIGINAL post:

I realize AmP blogging has been heavily political of late. To change things up, and get our blood boiling over something different, check out this “Episcopal madness at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Francisco” (where else?!).

If you ever want to know what I’m fighting against, especially when it comes to preserving our liturgical treasury and the dignity of the Church’s tradition … re-watch this video.

Thanks Thomas for posting this video yesterday. I was so outraged when I viewed 1:50 clip I was really outraged to see such a insane act and especially mocking the Pope. I immediately contacted the so-called pastor Dana at St. Luke’s and spoke with her about my outrage as a Roman Catholic having the Pope mocked and to see such a bizarre service occur. But she said that since Halloween fell on a Sunday it was proper although they had a very reverent Morning Prayer and Eucharist…and she has such great respect for Pope Benedict XVI that in no way would she ever mock him.

Well that certainly seems not to be the case if she mocked the Pope Mobile, gave false blessings, and had derogatory statements on the piece of cardboard. If she loved Pope Benedict XVI and the Roman Catholic Church how come she is outside it?

I didn’t get to see the video so I can’t comment on it. However, the fact they took it down could show they may be remorseful, no? Perhaps they didn’t mean it to be disrespectful? Either way, I’m glad to see the video was taken down.

Did anyone get a chance to download it before it was taken down?

Oohhh, it looks like the video has been pulled.

Thomas, the “user” has removed this video. Interesting. I think they know we are not going to back down.
