Help Save Lives: Support Susan G. Komen Against Planned Parenthood!

Huge news in the battle to get the truth out about Planned Parenthood.

Susan G. Komen, one of the world’s most respected organizations dedicated to fighting cancer, has dropped all ties with Planned Parenthood. In addition to the over hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding Planned Parenthood loses from this move, it’s a huge blow to Planned Parenthood’s credibility.

Planned Parenthood and its liberal pro-abortion allies are filling the air waves and trying to change the subject, claiming this is about Susan G. Komen making a political decision to defund Planned Parenthood.

This is not about Susan G. Komen. This is about Planned Parenthood.

Komen spokeswoman Leslie Aun told The Associated Press that the cutoff results from the charity’s newly adopted criteria barring grants to organizations that are under investigation by local, state or federal authorities. Aun said this applies to Planned Parenthood because it’s the focus of an inquiry launched by Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., seeking to determine whether public money was improperly spent on abortions. In addition to being under investigation by Congress, Planned Parenthood is also under investigation in numerous states and localities.

Here is Komen’s statement:

At Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the women we serve are our highest priority in everything we do.  Last year, we invested $93 million in community health programs, which included 700,000 mammograms.  Additionally, we began an initiative to further strengthen our grants program to be even more outcomes-driven and to allow for even greater investments in programs that directly serve women.   We also implemented more stringent eligibility and performance criteria to support these strategies.   While it is regrettable when changes in priorities and policies affect any of our grantees, such as a longstanding partner like Planned Parenthood, we must continue to evolve to best meet the needs of the women we serve and most fully advance our mission. It is critical to underscore that the women we serve in communities remain our priority.  We are working directly with Komen Affiliates to ensure there is no interruption or gaps in services for women who need breast health screening and services.

Please join me in thanking Susan G. Komen!

Email with the subject line: “Thank You for Defunding Planned Parenthood!” — this only takes a few seconds. Please do it now. And invite your friends to do the same. It’s important that we stand with organizations and individuals who have taken a stand against Planned Parenthood.

Special thanks to Austin Ruse at C-FAM for his work and leadership on this.

Somebody please let the Komen people know that PP is also under investigation in Kansas City, for failure to report, as is mandated, pregnancies and pregnancies terminated through abortion of underaged girls. Ofcourse the issue there is statuatory rape and the state’s interest in finding out if the girl is subject to incest or sexual harrassment. PP potentially protects perpetrators of sexual attacks if they fail to report these incidents. There are many documented cases in Kansas. see

Typical politics doing more harm than good. Republican actions have raised more money for Planned Parenthood over the past two days than the organisation could raise in a year.

While I am a pro life Catholic, I refuse to vote to put a ban on Gods Free will (Pro choice) then use Gods name in vain by enslaving those who broke the law. It is dangerous to have this issue in politics where the it can be used to gain emotional votes to decive men into mass crimes against humanity.

Congratulations. Lots are behind you. Woman are now concerned about breast cancer screening. I am assuming you will be able to help those who do not have insurance.

Planned Parenthood doesn’t only do abortions!!! They also provide important screening for Cancer, cervical & breast! They prescribe meds for strep infections & other illnesses.
Some people are very dumb. What comes to mind is “Throwing the baby out with the bath water.”

I have spent considerable time outside of Planned Parenthood offices praying and fasting, and all of the women entering the facilities were planning on terminating their pregnancies.
The other services you mentioned are provided for, but women do not go to planned parenthood for illnesses.

Dumb? What is it about the word “murder” that you don’t get? As long as Planned Parenthood actively commits the cold-blooded murder of unborn babies, they should receive NO support, financial or otherwise, from any person or organization and their very existence should be opposed by any well-thinking American. There are other authentic social service and health organizations that can perform the same tasks and would grow to do just that with the receipt of a diversion of funding from PP.
