House Budget Bill Would Stop HHS Mandate, Protect Conscience!

Breaking: The House has begun the process of forming an appropriations bill, and the first draft governing the HHS department’s budget includes language that would stop Obamacare’s HHS Mandate that attacks religious freedom! (see page 147)

This language is similar to the language proposed by Rep. Fortenberry and Sen. Blunt earlier this session. The bill also adds very important language to protect people and entities from being forced to be involved in abortions. (see page 149)

This is a very important development. The chairs of the subcommittee should be thanked for including this language: Chairman Rehberg (Montana) and Chairman Rogers (Kentucky). The other members of the subcommittee, and committee, as well as House leadership, need to hear your encouragement to support this language and insist that it be included in the final budget bill sent to the president.
