Infographic/open thread: Homeschooling

As a proud graduate of the Peters family homeschooling system, I present:

I’d be fascinated to find out in the comments: were you/are you homeschooled? Do you homeschool your children? Are any young parents weighing the option of homeschooling currently? What are some good Catholic resources for homeschooling parents?

I was NOT homeschooled. But I homeschool my children. I’m Catholic, pregnant with my 4th, have some College Education, my husband has a Masters, and 27 years of age.

  • Vicki

I’m a homeschooled senior, and I have been homeschooled my whole life, as have my five siblings. My family uses Seton Home Sutdy. ROCK ON HOMESCHOOLERS!

  • Marie

I am a junior in highschool and I am homeschooled!

Homeschooling is really a great thing. I have so much freedom in choosing what I want to learn, what I do learn, and who I learn it from. I also get to choose who I hang out with on a daily basis. I have no need to worry about running in with/spending time with people I don’t like and/or feel comfortable with.

I have twelve other siblings all of which were/are homeschooled. My oldest brothers are married and have families and are very happily educated. I can’t recommend homeschooling enough.
