    Lighten up, fellow Catholics! Yes, we must take our faith with great solemnity and seriousness, this is a brilliant way to reach the attention-span deficient among our brethren to guide them to mass. If this moves just one lost soul back into the Church’s loving arms, it’s done its job, IMO.

    I agree with you Bob. The Church would never have her children wear the ashes on their forehead to get attention for themselves. It is to be a sign and testimony to Christ’s paschal mystery and we devoutly follow Him, love Him and hope to be with Him in our heavenly home.

    Anything less than this or vain accusations is coming from the evil one. He will do anything he can to turn us from drawing ourselves and others to Christ.
