Obama, Francis and Umbrellas

It’s raining.

What do you do?

If you are President Obama at a press conference where you know you will be asked tough questions about the IRS, Benghazi and DOJ scandals, you do this (in contravention of military law, no less) to remind people of your office and power:

But if you are Pope Francis at a general audience and it starts to rain, you do this — because you understand your office is one of service and humility:

These two men could not be more different. And these two photos show the contrast.

(Someone should meme this.)

Joshua has written for CV about what Obama could learn from Pope Emeritus Benedict.

I have read so many content regarding the blogger lovers but this piece of writing is genuinely a good post,
    keep it up.

Thomas, you’re all wet on this one.

Martin- your scripture quote is not applicable to the most powerful man in the free world- he is hardly “one of the little ones”.
This President is attacking our religious freedoms, we are required to challenge that injustice as Christ challenged the Pharisees and money-changers.

Alexis- Catholics are among the most well educated in the world- do your homework -Catholics created the University system. What is your “Modern” world in relationship to faithful Catholics- and our church’s Magisterium? It is because of Catholic dogma and doctrine we’ve had such advances in Western civilization. Is it time for the dog to bite the hand that fed it?

This article depicts a perfect contrast between a man of holiness, and a man of the world.

Both of you need to put your politics aside.

Pride versus humility … a lesson in images…

I have looked in on your blog for some time, and often your insights and analysis are worth reading, and are informative.
The present post is mean and petty, and I feel they are contrary to the call of the last Pope to use modern media well, and to proclaim Christ.
Further assisting your Commander in Chief, and holding an umbrella for SOMEONE else requires respect for command, and discipline, and possibly Christ like actions. “If anyone give as much as a cup of water to one of these little one’s…”said Jesus.

I mean, seriously!? We should be really worried about the future of the Catholic Church, if it consists of people at this kind of level… Sorry, but Catholics are easily beaten in the modern world just by lack of education.
