Passion Stations and Mercy Novena

Benedictine College’s Memorare Army for Religious Liberty now includes 2,500 people who together have pledged to pray 2.5 million memorares for religious liberty.

The Gregorian Institute is offering Good Friday prayer resources for members, and you can make use of them too.

Mel Gibson has said that his movie The Passion of the Christ was meant to be a cinematic Stations of the Cross.  Many Catholics watch The Passion of the Christ on Good Friday. These meditations are meant to glean the powerful lessons of the film.

They are intended for use separate from the actual watching of the film.

The Novena¬† begins today, on Good Friday and ends on the Vigil of Easter Sunday II, Divine Mercy Sunday. Blessed John Paul II was the great promoter of St. Faustina’s Divine Mercy devotion. He died on the ninth day of the Mercy Novena in 2005.
