    Phenomenal! Great to know that the Catholic Church gets special tax rights that allow it to avoid paying property taxes that everyone else has to pay to the City. To everyone else that “strong resolve” of the church looks like them bullying the City of San Francisco and screwing over the taxpayers of that state – since they have to foot the bill for the property taxes that the Church refuses to pay.

      Pete. Did you not read the article? The case was thrown out because re-structuring is not a taxable event. The Church appealed to other cases of re-structuring that were not taxed. Thus, this was not a case of a special privilege. Instead, it was a case of special religious discrimination.
