Reader: Supercommittee superfails, Winning the Latino vote in ’12, Could Ron Paul win Iowa?

The 12-member Supercommittee tasked to cut $1.2 trillion for federal spending has failed to reach an agreement. Shock.

Ron Paul has a legitimate shot of winning Iowa, says Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez are headlining the Hispanic Leadership Conference days before the Republican presidential primary in Florida. Winning the Latino vote will be crucial to winning the White House in 2012.

Catch the wave… Jon Huntsman jumps to 9% in NH (still only 4th), but Romney still dominates with 41% in the Granite State. PDF. 

Newt Gingrich shoots to the top in South Carolina. Gingrich has 31%, with Cain at 17% and Romney at 16% in the Palmetto State. 

The Commerce Department slightly lowers its estimate of 3rd Quarter growth.
