Sandra Fluke Wants to Write Your Laws

Many in the Democratic Party–including those who occupy the big, white house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue–believe that a person’s right to have someone else pay for birth control is so fundamental that it’s worth shutting down the Little Sisters of the Poor. Next time someone laments the rise of conservative “culture warriors” or trots out some lame trope about the GOP’s “war on women,” remember who the aggressors in that war are.

Which brings us to Sandra Fluke. It looks like Ms. Fluke–who courageously testified before Congress about the harrowing experience she and her classmates had of having to pay for their own contraception while attending Georgetown Law School (annual tuition: $50,890)–is running Congress! The Washington Post has the story:

Women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke appears to be moving forward with a run for Congress.

Fluke has filed with the California state Democratic Party to seek its endorsement in the race for retiring Rep. Henry Waxman’s (D-Calif.) seat, according to the state party Web site.

A state party delegate confirmed to Post Politics that Fluke has filed and paid the fee to appear on the ballot this weekend.

Fluke hasn’t officially announced her campaign or filed with the Federal Election Commission, and she didn’t immediately return a request for comment. But filing for the state party’s endorsement means she’s now officially part of the process.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: today’s Democratic Party is not your grandfather’s Democratic Party.

I wish Americans would care more about the unborn than about a young woman’s right to have taxpayers foot the bill for her extracurricular activities!

Imagine the gall of Limbaugh calling this young woman a “slut”. A blowhard with a jaded past is no authority on any sexual topic. I have stopped listening to the EIB network.

      How did Limbaugh lie?

      • morganB

Antonio, he has no evidence on this girl to support the accusation. The man gives me the creeps.

Limbaugh has nothing to do with whether or not Sandra Fluke is well suited to hold office.

The hypocrisy of the left is amazing. Sarah Palin is unqualified for office because she’s a soccer mom. But, Sandra Fluke is a great choice because Rush Limbaugh called her a bad name.
