Hi Tom - I just joined your blog because you are right in line with my own beliefs. I would like to tell you about Freedom Crosses. Christians are beginning to put white crosses in their front yards, on their front doors or window and even on the rearview mirror in their car. The white crosses are engraved with IN GOD WE TRUST, our nation's motto. Every time I see one, I consider it a powerful testimony to the freedom OF religion. It would be a wonderful thing if Christians all over our great nation would stand together in solidarity againt the attack on Christianity in America by placing this symbol of religious freedom on their private property. If the Christians of STEUBENVILLE would blanket the town with white crosses....in their yards, on their houses, front door, window, in their car..., it would send a powerful message to those who are protesting the cross in their new city logo. The people of Frankenmuth, Michigan did just that in 2008 (same issue - cross in the city logo) and the atheist withdrew his complaint. You can check out the crosses at www.FreedomCrossesUSA.com

[...] Since that time many other battles to remove crosses (mostly won by us) have been undertaken. The latest battle is in Steubenville, OH where secularists have pressured the city to remove a cross from the City Logo. Never mind that the logo pictures the city skyline, and that the University of Steubenville is a dominant part of that skyline, and a major institution in that city. No, never mind, the cross has to go. The issue is headed to court. More HERE. [...]

What next for the atheists? How about lobby to change the names of cities such as St. Louis, St. Paul, St. Petersburg, San Francisco... on the grounds that those cities are obviously "theocracies" and nobody who isn't Catholic would feel comfortable living there.

The city leaders of Steubenville should have told these imbeciles to go pound sand, then made the cross on the logo bigger.

Hi,Tom! David White from QHR choir so many years ago.

If the Steubenville City Council caves, I hope that your employer changes its name from "Franciscan University of Steubenville" to just "Franciscan University". If it weren't for the University, how many people would have even heard of Steubenville? (I had, but then I'm from Ohio.)
