The LOVE Revolution

WYA Revolution is a project started by a young man named Jon Jorgenson.  Over the weekend a bunch of my friends sent me the link to two of Jon’s videos in the Anima Series. Now, they don’t have millions of views (yet), but they must be catching on because a bunch of people sent me the links over the past few days.

WYA Revolution is a new project that seeks to remind everyone, young and old, that you are loved. No matter who you are, or what you’ve done – you are loved!

God loved each and every one of us into existence. He loved us so much that He gave His only son for us. And I hope and pray that you know that every one of you reading this article knows how tremendously loved you are, and that you never forget it.

Life is an adventure, and it can be a difficult adventure from time to time. Everyone goes through moments (or long periods) where they feel as though the whole deck is stacked against them. We can feel defeated, unloved, unlovable, renounced, and/or forgotten. But, these are the moments that God loves us the most.

I had a favorite t-shirt in high school that said, “Healing comes to the broken places first.” And this is so true. God brings healing to our brokenness and He transforms our pain into beauty. Never forget that God is always good and will bring goodness out of what may seem “the worst of times”.

Jon Jorgenson speaks to this in his new videos for the Anima Series. There is one for women, and another for men. They are both really powerful, so I encourage you to watch them both.

In this video, Jon reminds women:

“You are beautiful. You are smart. You are funny. You are kind. You are unique. You are worthy of love and affection. You are precious.”

“You are a diamond, a rose, a pearl… the most stunning of all of God’s creation.”

“Regardless of who you think you are. Whether you’re on the hot list or the not list… Whether you’re Miss. popular, or you’ve never had anyone you could call a friend… Whether you love yourself or love your life, or you can’t stand to look in the mirror and you feel like everything in your life is falling apart.”

“Inside of you, is a woman with the power to change the world!”

“You are loved. And you are worth dying for.”

And now for the men…

“You are strong. You are brave. You have talents to share with the world. These talents will change people.”

“The Lord LOVES you, no matter who you are.”

“There is a man inside of you, that is waiting to burst forth and change the world.

“That man is where your strength lies. That man is where your potential lies.”

“You will bring change to our broken world!”

Jon’s two videos are taking the internet by storm and more people are catching on to his mission. Jon is now trying to take the WYA Revolution onto Instagram. Anyone who has an Instagram can join the revolution by taking a “selfie” or picture of yourself and tagging it, “I am God’s, therefore I am awesome! #WYARevolution”

You are loved! It’s time to join the revolution.

Amazing message. Thank you so much!

Powerful. I LOVE the message. It’s always good to hear how special we all are. Thank you, Jon.

This is perfect for the younger generation who are being carried away from God

If only women believed they were worthwhile and beloved by God, they would stand up for their own dignity and resist being used as sex objects. Think how much misery that would save us!

  • Veronica

Women are strong and brave and talented too. This is horribly sexist and seeks to reinforce prejudice that women have worked decades to overcome. Sorry, but for me, any message of love gets lost in the sexist attitude of the singer.

    • Brian

Men are smart, funny, kind, and unique, too, but I don’t think giving an attribute to a certain group and not to another makes it sexist. By saying that men ARE something,, he is not saying that women ARE NOT that thing and vice versa.

And besides, at about the 2:10 mark in the women’s video, he says “You are Powerful. You are Strong. You are Capable.” In my mind, this is similar to being Strong, Brave, and Talented.

It is easy to find offense in just about anything. Avoid searching for it where it simply doesn’t exist.

I think that all humans have forgotten to listen to their heart. We are taught to tend to our brains only. Let’s listen to our hearts. I love this video. Keep it up…our women of today need to hear from us how great and special they are. not how smart and potential they are or have. all One in One. I like this work. Thank you.

Thank you, Brian. You succinctly said to Veronica -especially in your last two sentences- what I was about to write. Veronica, I ask that you consider this: men and women are inherently different….but either can be ANYTHING THEY WANT TO BE (gentle emphasis only, does not = shouting). Since the advent of women’s liberation in the 60’s, women, unfortunately, continue to limit themselves when they adopt and apply the philosophy you describe. Get rid of the fear called “sexism” and you’ll not be distracted from being your fully- actualized, wonderful self and all the talents and enthusiasms within your heart and mind.

Do we have to turn everything into this…zero-sum, fault-finding mission? Geez.
