Tom Roeser Receives Mindszenty Award

I am pleased to report that Tom Roeser has received the Jozsef Mindszenty Award from the The Mindszenty Foundation of St. Louis.  The award is named for Hungarian Primate Jozsef Cardinal Mindszenty, the steadfast supporter of freedom and opponent of both Nazism and Communism.  Roeser was presented the award at a Mindszenty Foundation meeting in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois on April 17, 2010.

Tom Roeser is a longtime champion of Catholic Causes in the Chicago area, working at both the grassroots and the executive levels of organizing to improve  political, religious, and civic participation.   Tom is the Chairman of the City Club of Chicago, Catholic Citizens of Illinois, the Chairman of the Editorial Board for the Chicago Daily Observer.  Tom Roeser is also the host of Political Shootout on WLS AM890, and a weekly columnist The Wanderer, the oldest Catholic newspaper in publication in the United States.

The Cardinal Mindszenty Foundation is a worldwide, non-profit educational organization which offers reliable information on the nature, propaganda and goals of atheistic Communism.   Pope Pius XI’s famous encyclical “Divini Redemptoris” , the official teaching of the Catholic Church on Communism, remains the Foundation’s valuable guide for education, action and prayer.  The Mindszenty Foundation also relies on Our Lady of Fatima’s requests, prayer, penance, sacrifice, in order to bring peace in the world.

Previous recipients of the Mindszenty Award include Rep. Henry Hyde, Rep.  Robert Dornan, Ignatius Cardinal Kung, Dr. James Hitchcock, and Bishop Pablo Antonio Vega.
