What is with that overlay stole?

I mean seriously: that thing is just inappropriate. She must not know that vestments are supposed to match, not coordinate.

Apart from that, this video is made of awesome.*

* by “awesome” I clearly mean, “rarely do people volunteer such a testimony for why they ought not be taken seriously.”

I suspect these women are being called by God to be priests… in the Episcopalian Church. I’m sure they will do much good there.

  2. I gotta take them seriously with their general lack of modesty! That just screams “Divine Will!”

This video has more entertainment value than “Call Me Maybe,” which I detest. But the music actually works pretty well as an anthem for something like a wymyn priest movement (although, yikes, the noun ‘priest’ is masculine in languages that have gendered nouns, how inconvenient)…anyone who watches it with common sense will realize that St. Therese of Liseux had no intention of doing this and that “I’m a Catholic” and “don’t listen to St. Paul” shouldn’t be uttered by the same person.

Saw this video on BadCatholic yesterday. It was just as painful to watch the second time. I can’t stop cringing.

  5. Joe M says:

Aren’t they free to start their own church according to their beliefs and ordain themselves? I don’t get why making demands of an existing church that disagrees with them is necessary.

I think my favorite line in that disaster is “we want our Church back.” … which implies “they” ever had it in the way they want it now.
