LOOP: Pro-life Democrat apparent winner close race in IL




PRO-LIFE DEM PREVAILS  Pro-life Democrat Dan Lipinski appeared likely to narrowly defeat pro-abortion radical Marie Newman in Illinois’ 3rd District in South Chicago. With over 90% of the vote counted, Lipinski clung to a 51-49% lead over Newman, with much of the remaining vote in Lipinski-friendly precincts. Marie Newman sounded bitter as she refused to concede, saying she “would like Mr. Lipinski to have a very painful evening.” READ
PRO-ABORTION REPUBLICAN WINS  Incumbent Gov. Bruce Rauner barely held on to win the Republican primary. The pro-abortion Rauner broke his promise and signed a bill to provide taxpayer funding for abortions. Pro-life legislator Jeanne Ives ran an insurgent campaign that nearly prevailed. Rauner trails Democrat J.B. Pritzer (another billionaire!) in the polls by double digits. READ
FBI & RUSSIA  FBI Director Christopher Wray says that President Trump has “never asked me to do anything with the Russia investigation.” READ
FREE SPEECH  During oral arguments, several Supreme Court justices looked ready to shred a California law requiring crisis pregnancy centers to notify women that the state offers subsidies for abortion. READ
EXODUS CALIFORNIA  Working-class people are leaving California in droves for lower taxes and cheaper living in Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. The Golden State lost 138,000 people in the 12 months ending in July 2017. READ
JUDGES VS. MISSISSIPPI  G  A federal judge has blocked Mississippi’s pro-life ban on abortions after 15 weeks from taking effect. It is the most restrictive abortion law in the United States. READ
