PRO-LIFE DEM PREVAILS Pro-life Democrat Dan Lipinski appeared likely to narrowly defeat pro-abortion radical Marie Newman in Illinois’ 3rd District in South Chicago. With over 90% of the vote counted, Lipinski clung to a 51-49% lead over Newman, with much of the remaining vote in Lipinski-friendly precincts. Marie Newman sounded bitter as she refused to concede, saying she “would like Mr. Lipinski to have a very painful evening.” READ |
PRO-ABORTION REPUBLICAN WINS Incumbent Gov. Bruce Rauner barely held on to win the Republican primary. The pro-abortion Rauner broke his promise and signed a bill to provide taxpayer funding for abortions. Pro-life legislator Jeanne Ives ran an insurgent campaign that nearly prevailed.
