TRAVEL ORDER // After losing to a federal appeals court, the Trump administration is planning on issuing a new executive order on refugees. Meanwhile, the 9th Circuit indicated that they might rehear the case with a larger panel of judges.

WHITE HOUSE // The bumpy rollout of the President’s executive order on refugees and the allegations that National Security Adviser Mike Flynn potentially colluded with the Russians about lifting U.S. sanctions have created a perception of a White House in turmoil. Newsmax CEO (and Trump friend) Christopher Ruddy went on CNN to place blame on the White House Chief of Staff: “It’s my view that Reince (Preibus) is the problem.

IMMIGRATION // Even though the future of President Trump’s order withholding federal funds to “sanctuary cities” remains unclear, states aren’t wasting any time in taking punitive action against cities that are making themselves havens for illegal immigrants.

DEMOCRATS // Former Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb said his party has moved ‘very far to the left.’ On NBC’s Meet the Press, the former Virginia Senator said: “There is an aristocracy now that pervades American politics. It’s got to be broken somehow in both parties, and I think that’s what the Trump message was that echoed so strongly in these flyover communities.” Webb declined to share his vote in the presidential election.
