TRUMP: PAUL RYAN PROMISED WALL President Trump said that former House Speaker Paul Ryan promised to secure wall funding if the president would sign the 2018 omnibus spending bill. “Well, I was going to veto the omnibus bill and Paul told me in the strongest of language, ‘Please don’t do that, we’ll get you the wall.’ And I said, ‘I hope you mean that, because I don’t like this bill,’” Trump told the Daily Caller. “And then he went lame duck.” READ |

VIRGINIA GOVERNOR BACKS INFANTICIDE Gov. Ralph Northam, D-VA, caused a firestorm when he seemed to voice his support for allowing newborn infants to die rather than provide them with care. “So in this particular example if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” said Northam, who is also a pediatrician. The comments came while discussing a Virginia bill which would allow a woman to abort her child as she is dilating and about to give birth. READ |

25 YEARS LATER Pope John Paul II wrote his “Letter to Families” 25 years ago. The letter has profound insights that have impact today, said Steve Bollman, founder of the family ministry Paradisus Dei. “What John Paul did is he truly identified the family as the pathway to holiness. In this letter, it’s the family that’s placed at the heart of the great struggle between good and evil, between life and death, between love and all that’s opposed to love.” READ |
