LOOP: Trump: Is tearing down statues of Washington next?

CHARLOTTESVILLE // President Trump made a third statement on the violent rally in Charlottesville. “They were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. This week it’s Robert E. Lee. I noticed that Stonewall Jackson is coming down. I wonder is it George Washington next week and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself, where does it stop?” http://cvote.it/2vHui04

  1. Pure stupidity to believe people who oppose Confederate statues oppose statues in general. How does the President of this country not see the difference between George Washington and Robert E. Lee? Ignorance is bliss?

    • There’s a statue of George Washington in Trafalgar Square in London.

What do Londoners not understand that you think people here need to understand? Washington led an armed rebellion against the British Crown.

      Any thoughts?
