Pharrell Williams (“Happy”) journeyed to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland last week to preach against global warming.
He flew there in his private jet. 1700 of his rich friends (like Al Gore) also came on their private jets.
While coverage of Pharrell’s anti-fossil-fuel speech was widespread, most of the media missed his remix performance of “Happy.”
Like the legend of Lincoln writing the Gettysburg Address on the back of an envelope during his train ride, Pharrell used the solitude of his private jet to pen new lyrics to “Happy” in honor of planet Earth and luxurious living.
CatholicVote has received an exclusive copy of these new lyrics, and is honored to share them with our readers.
I might seem lazy on my private plane
But sunshine won’t fly me to Montego Bay
Hot air jet fuel causes climate change
My billionaire friends don’t care if I’m to blame
Here’s whyBecause I’m Wealthy
Clap along if you feel that climate change needs no proof
Because I’m Wealthy
Clap along if your fuel consumption could heat Duluth
Because I’m Wealthy
Cap and trade if being green burdens everyone else but you
Because I’m Wealthy
Clap along if your carbon footprint is an inconvenient truthHere come Fox “News” talking this and that, yeah
Like “Global warming’s paused, hockey stick is flat”
Well those facts confuse me, Mr. Steyn
No gas for you. But Gore and I will be just fineBecause I’m Wealthy
Clap along if you feel that climate change needs no proof
Because I’m Wealthy
Clap along if your fuel consumption could heat Duluth
Because I’m Wealthy
Cap and trade if being green burdens everyone else but you
Because I’m Wealthy
Clap along if your carbon footprint is an inconvenient truth
